  4. PBSO Substation #6 on Jog Road
  5. Canyon Town Center Traditional Market Place featuring:
    1. Community amphitheater
    2. Children’s splash fountain
    3. Lighted soccer field
    4. Civic site for future library
    5. Richly landscaped and pedestrian friendly parking lot design
    6. Main street centerpiece
  6. Site for Sunset Palms Elementary School on Boynton Beach Blvd
  7. Site for future middle school next to Sunset Palms ES
  8. Site for future 49-acre county park behind Sunset Palms & Canyon Town Center
  9. Odyssey Middle School
  10. West Boynton Community Area Plan (1995) frequently cited as the best example of a neighborhood plan
  11. Boynton Beach Blvd—Turnpike Interchange Corridor Plan (1996 & 2003) Design criteria
  12. Super Target “Big Box” design featuring:

  16. The site plans and designs of the Shoppes of Woolbright Plaza (Woolbright & Jog) and Whitworth Farms Plaza (Flavor Pict & Hagen Ranch Road)
  17. Green Cay Village for workforce housing
  18. Green Cay Nature Center
  19. Palm Meadows Thoroughbred Horse Training Facility on Lyons Road
  20. The Ag Reserve and $150M bond issue to preserve agricultural lands and to build parks
  21. Traffic control lights on Boynton Beach Blvd. at Palm Isles, on Hagen Ranch Rd at Pipers Glen Blvd., at Hagen Ranch and Flavor Pict Roads.

Projects COBWRA Helped to Defeat:

  1. The Florida Bullet Train
  2. The Home Depots opposite The Fountains Shopping Plaza and on Military Trail at Hypoluxo
  3. Chrysler auto dealership on Boynton Beach Blvd. where Super Target is now.
  4. Annexation of west Boynton by the City of Boynton Beach (1998)
  5. Many destructive and costly new bills proposed by the State Legislature
  6. Commercial buildings in the Ag Reserve
  7. Gas Station at corner of Woolbright & Jog Roads
  8.  

Projects COBWRA Helped to Mitigate Impact:

  • New FPL power line from the West to Boca Raton. COBWRA convinced FPL to re-position power lines away from homes.
